I have a strong inner feeling of excitement that is rumbling and translates to “2012 will be a good year”. Winter is already throwing some mild temperatures, allowing snow dwellers to actually enjoy the snow without the painful minus temperatures that burn and cut short outdoor endeavours.
The return of topless days is counting down. We are rotating on our axis back to the sun and the daylight is getting longer by the minute. Good things are coming. I can feel it. Here are a few of Toplessdrivers anticipated moments for 2012.
Today is January 9th. Kate Middleton is in the “Topless Goat Club” and celebrates her 30th birthday. Happy Birthday Kate! (Toplessdriver waves). Kate (and I feel the honor to call her Kate after shaking her hand last year) has had the luxury of driving along side the future King in a topless Aston Martin. Toplessdriver approves. With any luck, we will see a future baby Royal in a topless pram later this year. Toplessdrivers’ fingers are crossed.
113 Days until May 1st. May 1st is the Toplessdrivers goal to flip to a convertible driving style. April tends to give two or three days sneak preview to the warm summer days ahead of us which may allow a topless moment or two before May 1st. Let my inner rumblings be correct. But May 1st will bring the swapping of the hard top for soft top and the commencement of driving the topless season.
131 Days until May 19th. May 19th is Go Topless Day. An international day for Jeep lovers to go topless and drive. More coming on this on a blog near you. Very near you. Right here in fact!
340 Days (December 14th) to the release of the movie The Hobbit – An Unexpected Journey (Part 1) and 704 days (December 13th 2013) to the release of The Hobbit – There and Back Again (Part 2). Christmas outing booked. Check!
355 Days to a very special day for Toplessdriver – more on this later in the year.
As we grow older, traditional opportunities to celebrate become less and less. Friends have wed, babies have been born, graduation has taken place. I find looking for the simple things in life and any opportunity to bring friends together and celebrate is worth exaggerating. Max out birthdays, get dressed up for the Oscars, don’t stop dancing. 2012 is going to be a good year.
