I got snags when it come to putting the top on my jeep or taking the top down. This is a workout! I have looked at the videos on Youtube. They talk about it being easy, but do not be fooled. This takes practice. This requires training. According to the video below, you can do this in 3 minutes 34 seconds. Sure. Right.
Note that this jeep does not have a lift. Try doing this same technique when you are jumping up and down to reach everything and holding your laptop to watch this video (phone screen is too small for instructional videos)! Tippy toes to undo zips and velcro. Climbing in to push it evenly back. Stopping to wipe the sweat off your brow. Walking to the store to get a bottle of water. I reckon you need to add at least another 12 minutes!
Ok – here is 14 minute 17 second video. Let’s see what happens if we take our time.
BORED! Bet you just watched maybe a minute at the most. That sums up my point!
We Jeepers need a top that takes less than a minute to take down. The Jeep was first introduced in the 2nd WW. While we have watched convertible technology master the art of a push button for so many topless vehicles, why has the jeep technically not followed suit?

I think they did make some strides by having the top in 3 parts on the newer models. Still would be cool if Jeep made the soft top come down with the touch of a button.

I agree improvements have been made, but perhaps they could improve the zippers, velcro and how it attaches to vehicle? Even the window zipping can be a chore. But I still love my ride.
